Allyson English
Allyson English is an international development professional with experience using mixed methods research is areas of gender, equity and health systems. As a senior program associate at Results for Development, Ms. English works on a range of projects focused on the role of data in driving evidence-based decisions that support accountability, sustainability and health for all. In this role, she serves on the Primary Health Care Performance Initiative (PHCPI) — a partnership working to help countries track key performance indicators for their primary health care systems in order to identify which parts of the system are working well and which ones aren’t. Through this role, she serves as a technical facilitator of the PHCPI/Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage Measurement for Improvement Collaborative, supporting policymakers and health system managers create tools for better measurement to improve primary health care. Ms. English holds an MPH in epidemiology and a BS in human health sciences, both from Boston University. While at Boston University, Ms. English served as a board member of the student-run Health and Human Rights Caucus, an academic tutor, and teaching fellow for courses on epidemiology, biostatistics, and health system management. She speaks English and Spanish.
